RAND Corporation Washington Office Voted 'Great Place to Work' in 2007

Washingtonian Great Places to Work 2007 RAND Washington Office

October 18, 2007

The RAND Corporation's Washington office has been selected as one of The Washingtonian's Great Places To Work for 2007. Listed in the "Looking Beyond Local" section, which features companies that aren't based in Washington but have Washington-based employees, the magazine says of RAND:

“A ‘playground for active minds,’ as one employee calls it, this nonpartisan firm researches everything from healthcare reform to criminal justice—and media and government pay attention to Rand [sic] reports.”

Earlier this year, RAND headquarters campus in Santa Monica, CA was awarded the prestigious Urban Land Institute (ULI) Award for Excellence: The Americas, which recognizes outstanding achievement in land use practice. RAND also received the U.S. Green Building Council's Gold Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the environmentally responsible design of its headquarters, along with the Los Angeles Architectural Award for corporate headquarters design.
