        Weighted Average Poverty Thresholds for Families of

Comments:   1. For Years 1959-1980, totals were calculated for 7 or more        
                persons.  For these years the values for 7 or more persons      
                are repeated for 7, 8, and 9+ persons.                          
                In 1981-1999 calculations were done for families                
                7, 8, individually until 9=(9 or more persons).                 
                                                                                
             2. For a complete breakdown by family size and by age              
        	see readme.povtha, which provides these thresholds for

Usage:  To look up values of these data for a set of key variable values
        (in SAS):

        a) In your SAS program, before your data step add:

           %include 'povthr.fmt';

        b) set SUPERKEY to the combination of key variable values you
           want to look up.  See "SUPERKEY=" under key variable
           description below.

        c) use a formatted put function of SUPERKEY with the data series        
           format (See examples under "Usage" in detailed description of
